1/17/12 Day 7

1/17/12

Today was the first day for our pop music class. It sounds like it will be really good because we get to listen to some good music. Today was more of just an informal find out what is going on for the class and hearing a little about him. Thankfully the class ended early because the time had changed for the class so we all had to leave for class an hour earlier than expected and I really needed a shower. Once the class was done hopped on a bus and headed towards the flat. I got something to eat for lunch, did some dishes and took the shower I desperately needed. Yes, the shower was so worth it! I got dressed came to the living room to hang out a bit and ended up going shopping with Jordan and Michelle (my flatt mates). We went to this shop called Primark and they had some pretty nice deals. I notice that I still need to get use to their fashion taste and that their sizes are twice as small as the sizes in the U.S. Basically I felt huge compared to what London is use to fashion wise. I went to try on jeggings and it really did not boost my confidence at all. Right before the three of us were going to leave since we had to prepare to going to the show War Horse something happened. We had saw this man passed out in the front of the store. We watched as the ambulance took him away. Defiantly noticed they took different precautions about how they put someone into an ambulance compared to the U.S. Then walking down the street we saw more cops. Apparently, a bus driver would not let someone on the bus so they decided to stand in front of it causing traffic to be held up for about 10 minutes. But that’s all I know about that. After all that good drama happened we finally got home got ready and then headed off to War Horse with some people. When we got there we hung out for a bit and just waited until we got into the theatre. While waiting I found out we would NOT be seeing Les Mes and I was beyond disappointed. Either way I plan on seeing it. Soon enough we got to go into the theatre and it was amazing because we actually had good seats! In the end I loved the show and I thought it was so powerful and just amazing. After the show Michelle, Shay and I went to get drinks and we ended up going to this bar in Soho called Spice of Life. It wasn’t bad and I had a Cosmo but it was a bit strong for me. I still prefer my Sex on the beach but that’s just me. That basically was the end of my night since I had to be up bright and early to head to Greenwhich tomorrow.
